The R-World fashion look nobody wants

The URC violator. An R-World Series. Part 6

A month ago, she was a young, fashionably attractive R-World lady. She took great pride in her appearence, especially her curly black locks, which framed her face and gave her a distinctive looks.

Now, she is a criminal, thanks to a single act of mindlessness (or perhaps laziness) when she left her home for a 30 yard walk to the local village store without her cuffs. It was unfortunate for her that at the moment she left her front door, an off duty police officer, visiting a relative in the village, was walking by on the opposite side of the road and noticed her misdemeanor. Deciding not to challenge her immediately he turned and followed her to the store, reaching for his mobile phone to take a photograph which was sufficient to provide the evidence with which she would be convicted. He then calling in for an on duty officer to make the actual arrest since the village was some distance from the city.

She had been back in what she considered the safety of her home when the knock on the door came. The uniformed officer took no pleasure in her arrest, but a crime against the URC had been reported and proven to him, and it was his duty to act on the information.

She hardly had time to register the uniform of the person standing on her doorstep, when she was instructed to turn and place her hands behind her back, wincing as the steel cuffs were applied a little too snuggly. She had no opportunity to even say goodbye to her husband as she was led out to the waiting car and driven away to court. Within two hours she was summarily convicted of a first violation of the Universal Restraint Code, and sentenced to the 28 days in prison, where her head would be shaved and the violator insignia applied. At the end of the period of incarceration, she will be taken back to the village that she called home, to spend 48 hours in a pillory, on display to the entire village before being released for her year long probationary period.
